Abstract
The chapter looks first at the use cases of metaverse technologies that have developed across multiple sectors, starting with Consumer to Consumer (C2C) and Business to Consumer (B2C) use cases before moving to more Business to Employee (B2E) and Business to Business (B2B) applications. Then the chapter considers why delivering these use cases through a more integrated metaverse than by a variety of stand-alone applications may be a better objective. This graphic summarises the areas that we look at.
